The Arts Center at Duck Creek is thrilled to announce All The Things, a group exhibition curated by Erika Ranee, featuirng artists Mike Cloud, Daniel John Gadd, Carl E. Hazlewood, Leeza Meksin, Jeanne Reynal and Rachel Eulena Williams.

The 6 artists in All The Things defy the conventions of traditional painting. They adeptly blur the boundaries between "support" and "surface," employing techniques such as manipulating stretcher bars, cutting canvas, and integrating diverse materials to construct their artworks rather than solely relying on paint. Drawing inspiration from elements of drawing, collage, and sculpture, these artists not only push the limits of painting but redefine its language.

Mike Cloud (b. 1974) is a Chicago artist exploring contemporary painting amidst reproductions and symbols. Daniel John Gadd (b. 1986) merges painting and sculpture, blending abstraction and figuration with personal narratives. Carl E. Hazlewood (b. 1951) uses everyday materials to create extemporaneous structures on/off walls and floors. interdisciplinary artist, Leeza Meksin (b. 1977) examines parallels between painting, architecture, and bodies. Jeanne Reynal (1903–1983) was a mosaicist reviving ancient techniques and experimenting with abstraction. Rachel Eulena Williams (b. 1991) transforms abstract painting with a unique material approach, displaying candor and invention.
